2011 - 2012 Elections

It is time for the election of Utah Association for Health Care Recruitment Officers. Nominations for the 2011-12 Presidency are being held now through April 15, 2011.

There are five offices available.

• President – shall serve as the executive officer of the Association and shall preside at all meetings. The President shall designate Committee Chairpersons. He/ She may sign checks in the absence of the Treasurer and perform other executive functions required by this role. The President plans future meetings and communicates with the Presidency members. The President shall be a member of NAHCR in good standing.

• Vice-President – shall assume the responsibilities of the President in his/her absence. The Vice-President shall serve as chair of Special Projects as determined by the Chapter Presidency. The Vice President oversees special projects and assignments. The Vice-President shall be a member of NAHCR in good standing.

• Secretary – shall maintain all Association records including the official list of membership. She/he shall be responsible for recording minutes of all meetings. The Secretary prepares correspondence and sends electronic communication to members. The Secretary shall be a member of NAHCR in good standing.

• Treasurer – shall be responsible for all financial affairs of the Association; shall maintain bank accounts in the name of the Association and Shall Sign Checks and withdrawals for expenses approved by the Chapter Presidency. The Treasurer prepares a complete summary of receipts and expenditures of the fiscal year. The Treasurer coordinates member ship dues and deposits. He/ She shall return all records to his/ her successor after the Chapter Presidency has approved the summary.

• Events/ Educational Coordinator – shall be responsible for working with the Chapter Presidency to plan quarterly educational events for UAHCR meetings. The Events/Educational Coordinator works to solicit ideas for needed education, and also plans special events for networking of UAHCR members.

According to our by-laws, all duties of officers shall transfer to the newly elected officers at the July meeting. Officers remain in office until their successor has assumed office. Only two (2) consecutive one (1) year terms are allowed for the same office, except for the Secretary and the Treasurer.

All candidates for elected office shall be a current member of UAHCR. Upon assuming office, the President shall become a member of the National Association for Health Care Recruitment (NAHCR) if they are not already a member.

Nominations will be open until Friday, April 15, 2011. Please email your nominations to the UAHCR Secretary, Tonya King at by Friday, April 15th. This is an open nomination process so please nominate yourself or nominate others you may feel would be a benefit to our organization as an officer. All nominees will be notified when nominated.
Once the nomination timeframe expires, an election process will commence. Please watch your email for further information.
